Returning to the Global Coaching Conference at the Etihad Stadium and hosting an event in Welshpool, Beestera identifies quality young coaches to join their U.S. summer camps.
Manchester, UK – Beestera returned to the United Kingdom this November for the second consecutive year, participating in the prestigious Global Coaching Conference hosted by LLS at Manchester City's Etihad Stadium. The multi-day recruitment effort included a follow-up event in Welshpool, Wales, as the organization continues to build strong transatlantic connections to enhance its coaching lineup for the 2025 summer camps.
The conference, known for attracting emerging coaching talent, provided an ideal platform for Beestera to connect with motivated and skilled young professionals. Representing the organization were Mike Matera, James Beeston, Alfie Barnett, and Elliot Atkinson, who conducted a comprehensive recruitment process. This included presenting to prospective coaches, networking, and observing candidates during on-field sessions to evaluate their practical coaching skills.
In a LinkedIn post reflecting on the trip, James Beeston, co-founder of Beestera, shared:
“A really productive trip back home, and we’re very excited about the coaching talent we saw over the course of the 4 days. The energy, confidence, and quality of the young coaches was great to see, and we’re excited to be offering some of them the opportunity to join us in the US next summer.”
Spotlight on Alfie Barnett and Elliot Atkinson
A standout moment from the LLS event was the participation of Alfie Barnett and Elliot Atkinson, who worked with Beestera in the US during the 2024 summer. Both coaches took the initiative to share their experiences with the attendees, highlighting the personal and professional growth they achieved during their time in the States.
Their testimonials underscored the impact of Beestera’s summer programs and inspired many young coaches to envision similar opportunities. Beeston described this as a proud moment for the organization:
“Hearing how much the opportunity meant to them and seeing their willingness to pay it forward was not only valuable for the coaches in attendance but also a really proud moment for us.”
Expanding Horizons in Welshpool
Following the conference, the Beestera team traveled to Welshpool, Wales, where they received a warm welcome from Gareth Watkins at Welshpool Town. This portion of the trip allowed for additional recruitment efforts and strengthened ties with the local soccer community.
As Beestera prepares for its 2025 summer camps, its ongoing efforts to recruit internationally underscore the organization’s commitment to quality, and diversity in coaching. With an influx of fresh coaching talent, Beestera is poised to deliver another transformative summer experience for players and coaches alike.
