Beestera Camp Coaches Battle in First-Ever Pickleball Tournament

Devon and Cayo take the crown as domestic and international staff face off in a post-camp paddle competition at Siena College.

Following a busy week of camps across the Capital Region, the Beestera camp staff came together at Siena College for a lighthearted but competitive pickleball tournament.

For a few of our overseas staff, this was their first time playing pickleball, and it didn’t take long for the competitive spirit to kick in. There were some questionable serves, a lot of laughs, and plenty of back-and-forth battles on the court.

The goal was simple: have some fun and bring the team together outside of camp. Coaches mixed into teams, learned the rules on the fly, and quickly found their rhythm. Some even looked like they’d been playing for years (we’re looking at you, Devon).

In the end, it was Devon and Cayo who came out on top, taking home bragging rights as the first-ever Beestera camp staff pickleball champs.

Whether it’s soccer or something new, this crew always finds a way to compete, connect, and have a good time doing it.
